Cut the Ruperts right before a game in London was kind of ballsy. Guess they are counting on Kadri and Kegger to be the local faves.

After four weekend scrimmages, the Maple Leafs subtracted 10 players off their training camp roster on Monday prior to their preseason opener against the Philadelphia Flyers at Budweiser Gardens in London, ON.

Forwards Stefan Della Rovere, Brett Findlay, Spencer Machacek, Ryan Rupert, Francis Wathier and Patrick Watling, and defenceman Matt Finn have all been assigned to the AHL Toronto Marlies, while Matt Rupert (London – OHL), Carter Verhaeghe (Niagara – OHL) and defenseman Cody Donaghey (Quebec – QMJHL) have all been sent to their respective junior clubs.

If i was going, Id want to see as many NHLers or top prospects, not the same kids ive been watching for 3- 4 years, they got to play in a Leafs Jersey in the rookie tourny and that was in London and on TV
